Hi there! Today I want to share how to make my cold porcelain clay recipe that I use for all my projects and tutorials. You can watch the video or read everything below.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of wood glue (850 density)
  • 1 cup of cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon of glycerin
  • 1 tablespoon of sodium benzoate
  • 2 tablespoons of fabric softener
  • 1 tablespoon of baby oil

Tools:

  • Teflon pan
  • Wooden spatula

Procedure

In a Teflon pan, combine all the ingredients until you get a homogeneous mixture.

Then place on the stove over medium heat, stirring constantly with the wooden spatula, until the mixture thickens, approximately in 20 to 25 minutes.

The clay will thicken and form lumps. It’s ready once it comes off the pan completely, and cleanly.

Remove from heat and place it on a surface where you can knead it.

Let it rest until it cools down a bit (not completely) because we have to knead it while it’s still warm.

We do this to get rid of lumps and that will leave us with a smooth dough.

To check if it turned out well, we take a piece of dough and break it or split it apart.

Two peaks should form at the ends.

Let it cool completely and store in a plastic bag for 24 hours.

After letting it rest of 24 hours, our cold porcelain clay will be ready to use.
